iGagasi 99.5 remains focused on growing its cumulative audiences and strengthening its core audiences in the LSM 5 – 8 and age 16 to 35 age group in KwaZulu-Natal. A broadcast footprint extension that allowed the station to improve its reception along the entire KwaZulu-Natal coastline has helped to grow audiences by 15% year-on- year over a seven-day period.

The station benefited from this growth as more advertisers helped lift revenues by 41%. However extraordinary once off costs had an impact on profit margins, including the expenses associated with the station’s move to new premises in Umhlanga Ridge during the period under review.
